Batam - 20/03/2010 - 21/03/2010

Charlotte is growing up real fast! Nw trying to be cheeky whenever someone reprimands her on something. If she did something wrong and realizes it.. she will avoid eye contact with you and try to create a distraction!! Making me angry and giggly at the very same time! Haven been blogging much lately.. so here is Charlotte's update.

We went to Batam with paternal side relatives on 20/03/2010; total of 15 pax. Yes.. was a rather big group and it is the very first time that Grandma ever went out of Singapore. Planned to wake up at 6am in order to reach Harbourfront by 7.15am, but lil Charlotte woke up at 5am! Made her watch her favorite "Wheels on the Bus".. not forgetting some time with her Minnie mouse before leaving home without them.. while i do some last min packing. Here are some pix taken for the trip..

Just a very relaxing and slacking trip for us... Staying in the hotel and Charlotte enjoyed herself in the room.. at least for 2 hours and after that she was throwing tantrums to leave the room. Overall the hotel is very nice and comfy.. definitely will return again.

Charlotte's 2nd CNY

CNY is ard the corner.. many things to do and shop for! But tis year.. to break the record.. i did not buy any clothings for myself as i didn't wanna waste money.. anyway wnt be able to wear for long and it will soon be kept in one corner till i can fit them once again. =)

Both a nice dress for Charlotte and some new clothings that were gifts for her 1st birthday. Guess i will spend more time dressing this princess up rather than on myself. Anyway the limelight is always hers from now on... till another princess/prince turns up. HAH! Watching her grow throughout the year was fulfilling; thou tired and at times frustrated, but she neber fails to put a smile back on my face.

She is down with runny nose and her first ulcer.. OUCH! Can imagine her pain as i cannot stand having ulcers as well, somemore she cant express her pain.. heart feeling sour when i applied the "watermelon frost" on her lip. With her blocked nose.. she is waking up at wee hours; crying to vent her frustration of not able to breathe and sleep well.

She has learnt many things.. like putting her finger on her lips to signal "Sssshhhhh" yet she keeps shouting "Ohhh.. OHHHH".. trying to tell everyone to keep quiet when she is the noisy one herself. Sleeping time has once again become a nightmare for myself.. 11.30pm is the time that she starts to feel tired and finally relent to rest for the day, nothing earlier.

Will spend the next 6 days with her due to the Lunar New Year holidays.. Hope she will give me a good weekend rest so that we can start the Lunar New Year on the right track!! *fingers crossed*

16/01/2010 - The Wedding Ceremony

Sat, 16/01/2010 was D Day for Grace & Ben.. Reached Grace's place @ 8.30am in preparation of "receiving" Ben. It's my second time being a Jiemei.. had fun that day... Tears rolled for many during Ben's thank you speech to Grace's parents before leaving the house.. It went something like.. Thank for you giving me Grace....Life will be hard, but we will be happy.. when i heard this.. couldn't control the tear ducts... very happy for Grace!

17/01/2010 - Wedding Dinner @ Meritus Mandarin

The glamourous march in by Mr & Mrs Phua... Nice ambience and theme! Was catching up with Michael & Jasmine accompanied by Jewel & Unborn #2 due on 18/02/2010. Dinner ended rather late, and we rushed off right after the dessert was being served.. was super delighted with the dessert cause Jovan & I had it all to ourselves.. the rest of the guests on our table left before the dinner ended =)

Charlotte enjoyed the dinner as well.. busy eating and snacking away. Was scared when the lights were off for the montage and video highlights thou, so Mummy had to carry her out for a stroll. Dressed her up that night; Rachael and Queenie managed to catch a smiling Charlotte all dressed up!

Now.. Charlotte is waiting for a playmate from Godparents!!! 加油！

13mth old Charlotte

Charlotte is turning 1 in the lunar calender this Sunday, which happens to be my English birthday! Happened to have abit of extra cash coincidentally, so now i owe Charlotte a gift.

Mummy Grace used her iphone application and did this for Charlotte.

Oh... Btw.. Charlotte is walking ALL by herself now.. she is really busy the moment she wakes up.. doing her routine inspection rounds to the service balcony and all around the house to c who is at home.. especially sourcing out for PorPor! Fell twice since Monday, had a cut on her lips which had blood stains over her pants.. nw having a bruise on her cheeks after kissing the bed corner. Guess this is part of the growing process which she has to learn =)

3more mths till Big KF is back.. hope to see him soon! Guess KF has lots to teach his little niece here =)

Charlotte's One!

Today Charlotte is officially ONE! So glad that she is a big girl right now.. Kept recalling this day last year.. when i found out i am going into labour.. going to have my MacDonalds breakfast before admitting myself to the hospital..

Looking back at the "torturing" days.. puts a smile to my face. My Little Koala bear is growing up perfectly.. She has been sick for the last weekend.. Yesh, on her birthday party, she was running a rather high temperature. After 3 days of constant high fever, a visit to Dr Wee solved all the problem that the initial doctor couldn't, at a lower price somemore!

She is 1 now... learn to crawl, walk with support and imitate what we are doing and saying.. She knows hand signal like where, no more and many other cheeky moves. The only thing is that she is still waking up for night feeds, tiring her daddy and mummy out! She found out where mummy has been keeping her snacks and she points to the cupboard each time she is feeling hunger =)

I am really glad to have her and i thank god for the past year many years to come!

Green Piggie

The only way to pacify Cranky Charlotte now... is a BOWL of snacks! Happy is actually aiming for her leftovers each time but to no avail... HAHA..

Turning One Next Week...

Time Flies.. Its December once again.. Granny keeps recalling those days whereby she will wonder hw will Charlotte look like.. when will she be coming out. Due for delivery anytime yet she is happily residing in Mummy's womb.

Grandpa spent a few days to put this up. She keeps pointing to her picture pasted on the wall and "OH.. OH".. Guess she knows she's the star in this photo~~ and of course her favorite MINNIE mouse... there is one in the middle where she is hugging and sucking her thumb.. the other on lower right hand side.. without these 2 fellas.. she cant fall asleep!
